the protection of persons who report violations of national or Union laws that harm the public interest or the integrity of public administration or private entity, of which they have become aware in a public or private work context.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW19136316 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW19136316 2019\/1937.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In these cases, there is an absolute prohibition of retaliation against the whistleblower.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRetaliation\u201d means any behavior, act, or omission, even if only attempted or threatened, carried out because of the report or public disclosure and which causes or may cause the whistleblower, directly or indirectly, unjust harm.<\/p>\n<p>By way of example
